GARETH (Lane Cove)

Guitar Bass Ukulele
Gareth is a passionate musician who has been playing the guitar for 12 years, teaching for over 7 years, as well as teaching bass for the last 4 years. He started teaching while studying for his BMus (Hons) in contemporary performance through the University of Chichester (UK). His teaching experience stems from working at a number of institutions, including running the guitar department at a private school. Gareth has played guitar and bass for various bands in live shows all over Southern Africa, playing many different styles of music, before moving to Sydney in 2015.

SIMON (Mosman)

Guitar Ukulele
Simon grew up in Margaret River, Western Australia. He has been developing his skill as a musician and guitarist since the age of ten and has studied most genres including Classical, Blues, and Roots. Simon is currently completely his Bachelor of contemporary Music at the Australian Institute of Music where he is involving himself in the world of Jazz and its history. More recently in January 2016 Simon travelled to India to study Indian Classical Music in Mombai. Simon's future plans are to complete a Masters of Teaching and build his career as a Music Educator.

ALISHA (Lindfield)

Vocal Piano
Alisha is a singer/songwriter from northern Sydney and is passionate about performing and devoted to all things music. She's graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music from the Australian Institute of Music, where she began her professional journey. As well as embracing a passion for performing as a singer, she's taught many dance styles such as Tap, Jazz and Hip-Hop for 4 years which allows her to combined her love for singing and choreography. She's sung professionally around Sydney for 5 years working in solo, duo and bands environments, and her experience has brought her to singing with some of Australia's International Artists.

BILL (Neutral Bay)

Guitar Bass
Bill has been professionally teaching guitar for the past 20 years, covering many different styles of music including folk, rock, blues, classical and jazz. He has studied under the instruction of many different guitar teachers including Steve McKenna, Ike Isaacs and Graham Cox and in the past has attended a number of different Jazz clinics at the Sydney Conservatorium of music. Bill has also played with a number of bands over the years and was once part of the band that later went on to become Ice House. He has also performed in a jazz group playing regularly at various restaurants in North Sydney.

FRANK (Chatswood)

Guitar Bass Ukulele
Frank has been playing guitar for 15 years and over 6 years teaching experience. He has a passion for blues and rock music and enjoys teaching a wide variety of styles to any playing ability. Since completing Bachelor of Music from AIM he has been playing live with the headlining Sydney rock band Swords. Frank is passionate about teaching and wants to pursue it as a career.

OSCAR (Kurraba Point)

Piano Vocal
Oscar began learning piano at age 5. Just before high school he moved to St Andrew's cathedral school and received a scholarship to sing in the cathedral choir. After achieving an A in AMEB 6th grade piano, he was given the offer to learn organ in the cathedral. In a few years he became the 2nd recipient of the Michael Deasey Organ Scholarship. Continuing his organ studies, he passed 8th grade ABRSM in organ. Oscar now studies at the Sydney Conservatorium. He has a passion for teaching, and last year, through the St Cecilia School of Music received A.Dip.SCSM (TCH) in Keyboard Teaching. Oscar also enjoys jazz, and has performed twice at the Manly Jazz Festival.

ARIEL (Waverton)

Guitar
Ariel is an enthusiastic guitar teacher who is committed to developing each student's musical abilities. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University in 2011. Over the past ten years, he has taught students of all ages in both Classical and popular styles of playing. During this time, Ariel has become well acquainted with AMEB exams and has tutored students from preliminary through to 7th grade. Ariel is equally passionate as a performer and his recent appearances include recitals at the National Arboretum, Hughes Music Festival, Wesley Arts Centre, and the National Gallery of Australia.

EUGENIA (Wollstonecraft)

Piano
Eugenia is an Australian-Chilean musician. She studied piano at the Santiago Conservatory, Chile and has lived in Australia for the past 20 years, in the upper Blue Mountains. There she also studied violin & singing for 4 years. Eugenia worked as a piano teacher at Katoomba Public School in the past. She is a respectful and patience teacher who approaches each student according to his/her unique character and capabilities. For her the love for music is essential as it helps energise life at its core, hence she offers a thoroughly assisted journey to each of her students, aiming at a creative musical encounter.

SATSUKI (Gordon)

Guitar Vocal
Satsuki is currently studying at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in vocals and guitar. Satsuki has been singing all her life and started guitar when she was 15 years old. After high school, she spent three years writing and recording an album with a band while simultaneously working on various projects such as appearing on Channel 7's Weekend Sunrise, being the house band for SBS 2's 'Thursday FC' and performing at over 30 venues and events across Sydney. She has worked intimately with several producers and directors and collaborated with countless musicians, grasping an understanding of the music industry and constantly developing her talent.

ANTHONY (St Ives)

Guitar
Anthony is an enthusiastic musician who began playing violin from 7 years old before switching to Guitar at 11. He has played in guitar ensembles and various bands. He enjoys studying various styles from jazz to Classical, but enjoys rock most of all. His teaching career began when his cousins asked him for music lessons. He is keen to start passing on this knowledge to a variety of students, hoping to invoke the same passion that he has manifested over the years.

HEATHER (Chatswood)

Drums
She enjoys playing and teaching a range of styles and have played in prog-metal bands to folk groups and ambient projects. In her teaching, she puts an emphasis on playing as a musician rather than playing solely as a drummer or a 'metronome'. She likes to incorporate listening activities in lessons to improve students' musicality and use these activities to assist students in developing their sense of orchestration on the drum kit. She likes to begin by setting up some short and long term goals in order to gauge what aspects of music a student is interested in and where they would like their learning to take them.

MATTHEW (Seaforth)

Guitar Bass
Matthew is an experienced music educator with a degree in Contemporary Music
and a Graduate Diploma of Education. He has taught guitar to students of various ages at Tokyo International School, NSW TAFE and as a private tutor. Matthew has toured Australia, Japan, Europe and New Zealand as a guitarist and electronic musician in many bands and played with some of Australia's finest musicians. He has released several CDs in various genres and performs at festivals, weddings, markets and cafes.

BEN (Bayview)

Ben has over 15 years guitar playing experience and has been teaching for the last 6 of those. Since graduating with his Bachelor of Music from AIM in 2014 he has been teaching guitar full time as well as touring the country with Sydney band The Ruckus, playing in musicals, running a local jam night and playing various acoustic duo gigs on the northern beaches. Ben has a passion for for teaching and gets great satisfaction from helping them to grow musically.

GEORGE (Allambie Heights)

George has been playing guitar since he was 11, falling in love with the purity and passion of guitar players like Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B King and Carlos Santana. He's been teaching guitar to students of all ages, levels and styles. Since graduating with his Bachelor of Music from JMC Academy in 2016 he's been teaching guitar & bass full time. He also plays in a psych/rock band God's Broccoli. He's a very friendly teacher and passionate about music & teaching.

NICK (Balgowlah)

Nick is a music tutor of 7 years and a musician of 14. He loves music and he's been pursuing a career in the industry since leaving school. He completed a year at UTS before differing indefinitely to teach full time at the Northern Beaches Drum School. Since then he's been teaching guitar and drums full time. He loves teaching and he finds it really satisfying when he sees students improve and have fun with their instrument. He's been playing in bands varying from 3 piece acoustic gigs, metal ensembles to Orchestras include Kaato, The Northern Beaches Youth Orchestra and playing with Will Taylor (Atlas Bound).

NED (Manly)

Since moving to Sydney in 2012 Ned has been performing at various venues around Sydney as a solo/duo/trio and band artist. He has been fortunate enough to tour around Australia and parts of Europe with his original music. He completed his Bachelor of Music at Australian Institute of Music, majoring in contemporary performance. During this period he also had a successful management partnership to coordinate live music in various bars throughout Sydney. His past experience saw him move into a teaching role. This included tutoring all ages vocals, guitar, ukulele and bass. With a contemporary way of teaching, his focus is to help students foster a passion and love for music that he himself hold.

LETICIA (Curl Curl)

Leticia is a passionate and patient piano teacher specializing in teaching children in a fun and educational way. She graduated in classic piano in 2006 in Brazil, after 9 years of study. Since then, she has been teaching piano to children of all ages, with years of experience. Leticia is located in the Northern Beaches and has worked with kids both one-on-one and on the group level. She has an adaptable, empathetic vibe that makes the teaching experience for both the children and herself highly enjoyable and rewarding. Children always love her classes.

DANIEL (Croydon)

Daniel began playing guitar at the age of 11 and has had a range of musical experience as a contemporary singer, songwriter, guitarist and bandleader. In 2013 Daniel completed his BMus at the Australian Institute of Music and a Grad DipEd through Southern Cross University in 2014. He previously toured and played gigs around NSW and QLD in an originals band supporting a range of notable Australian bands. In addition to private teaching Daniel also teaches in school classroom settings and is passionate about blues, rock, folk and jazz music.

DANIELLE (Marrickville)

Danielle is an accomplished performer and teacher with a background in Jazz & Soul Music. Graduating from the Australian Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Contemporary Performance, she has performed a variety of styles in venues with duos and groups. With a strong connection to music and teaching, her experience and passion for music and all things related only continue to develop.

TOBY (Newtown)

Guitar Ukulele Piano
Toby picked up the guitar at age 13 after being grounded for failing a music exam, and interestingly almost every other qualm he had with his parents and his schoolwork thereafter was as a result of playing too much guitar. Toby has studied a variety of styles, specialising in improvised music and classical guitar; studying under tutors such as Mark Johns, Jeremy Sawkins and Sean Coffin in his time at The Australian Institute of Music. Toby regularly gigs in a variety of wedding and cover bands and besides tutoring for Guitar for All, also tutors at The Australian Performing Arts Grammar School teaching classes on improvisation and accompaniment.

JAMIE (Castle Hill)

Jamie has been playing guitar for over 8 years. A quick learner he wanted to learn and experience everything you can do with a guitar. This propelled his musical theory knowledge and technical skills to new heights, as he studied a wide range of musical genres including Jazz, Blues and even Progressive metal. Jamie is well adapted to both Guitar and Bass. He has trained with some of Australia's finest musicians including 'Chase The Suns' Ryan Van Gennip, and blues guitarist Paul Berton. Jamie is very passionate about being a musician and carries that drive into his teaching ethic. Jamie believes in reinforcing good habits like having fun while you practice which increases motivation and promotes learning, this is especially important when it comes to teaching children. Also teaching the value of dedication through music as it is an essential life skill.
